The Kmise Dizi is crafted using traditional materials and methods, resulting in the beautiful sounds of Chinese traditional music. We offer a variety of tunings for the Dizi, but we recommend D E F G for beginners as it requires less breath to play.

Bamboo, known for its expandable nature, is the primary material used in making this flute. It is important to note that the quality of the bamboo flute is dependent on air temperature and humidity levels. Please avoid exposing the flute to extremely dry environments. If you encounter any issues with your bamboo flute, do not hesitate to contact us, and we will resolve the issue within 24 hours.

Instructions for attaching the bamboo membrane: 1. Apply glue to the membrane hole. 2. Gently pull out any folds on the membrane. 3. Press one side of the membrane onto the flute and pull it to the other end. 4. Allow the glue to dry before playing.

Material Selection Our Kmise Bamboo flute is crafted from Pleioblastus Amarus, a type of bamboo that has been aged for over 5 years. This bamboo is selected from the hometown of Chinese bamboo flutes, Zhongtaixiang, due to its high filament density.

Polishing Before japanning, the Kmise bamboo flute undergoes meticulous polishing more than three times to ensure a smooth and comfortable grip.
